As we here in the Northern Hemisphere of Planet Earth are in the early throes of Winter, it is a time of dormancy, a time of hibernation, and a time of looking inward to the purpose of our lives. The trees outside have layed bare their branches, while inside homes, the glowing orange fireplaces flicker throughout the night. Squirrels and deer scamper inside the forests, and local streams and creeks transform to ice covered surfaces. Birds huddle in their nests, while snowflakes force their way down from the upper reaches of the atmosphere. As I was lying on my bed last night slowly drifting off to sleep, I considered the possibilities of a prior life as well as an after life. In this reality, I decided in my mind that every life form no matter what domain they are, are intrinsically connected to a tangible loving source. In my opinion, whether it is in the Archaea, Bacteria, or the Eukarya domain that includes Plantae, Protista, Animalia, Chromista, and Fungi, all three branches of the phylogenetic tree of life share a force that spans all domains, all kingdoms, all phylums. This force, which in my opinion is the theory of love, cannot be scientifically proven, but in metaphysical terms can be explained solely through anecdotal and personal intuition.

Think of us human beings as 7 billion separate planetoids orbiting 1 gigantic star. In Newton’s law, the Gravitational constant is defined as the proportionality constant connecting the gravitational force between two bodies with the product of their masses and the inverse square of their distance. In the Einstein field equations, the Gravitational constant quantifies the relation between the geometry of spacetime and the energy–momentum tensor. Gravity I believe is a consequence of love itself. Constantly pulling back to the source, all light and life wants to in other words, “come home”. Coming home is coming back to love. As love and life are the exact same thing, I believe that in between lives, our consciousness or spirit energies go back to the loving source to meld or recharge again as has been done throughout the inexplicable phenomenon of time itself.

In terms of humanity, the realm of love plays tricks in our waking state of consciousness. In our subconscious and dreamlike state, there is no ego that can cloud the feelings and instincts of love. All of life across the phylogenetic tree of life desires and wants to be connected, and though there are fleeting and timeless states where connection is achieved, I believe this is only purely accomplished when passing between phases of life. In metaphysical terms, all energy does not die, but transfers to another form, whether chemically or electrically. I believe we all have been plants or mushrooms at one time or another, but our definition of being sentient may not apply to other lifeforms. What I used to wonder about foolishly was whether or not our consciousness or spirit energies would ever become “bored” simply being connected to the larger fabric of love. What I believe now is that love energy can never be boring or uninteresting.

On a totally spiritual and non-scientific view, I also believe that after passing in our current state, all of that or whom we’ve loved throughout our lives has and will return to us again, in the form of pure energy. Like the forces of gravity, love will be pulled to our spirits rather than vice versa. Instead of seeking out love, it will effortlessly seek us out without conditions whatsoever. The lightness of detaching from the physical material form will not just be a relief to our once earthly states, but bring about the realizations that the human ego creates all of these unnecessary complications and confusions that guide our current lives. I believe the spirit world is a world of both observation, awareness, as well as interaction. Energy itself is invisible to the human eye but not necessarily to other lifeforms, and thus contained in that energy space is the unbreakable bond of consciousness that forms the soul.

I am personally intrigued by zero-point energy as part of quantum mechanics. For those of you that don’t know, zero-point energy is the difference between the lowest possible energy that a quantum mechanical system may have, and the classical minimum energy of the system. Unlike in classical mechanics, quantum systems constantly fluctuate in their lowest energy state due to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. I recently unearthed some fascinating theories from Aerospace engineer Marc Millis at NASA’s Glenn Research Center. Included is the belief that the vaccum of outer space was a seething mass of energy, with particles flashing in and out of existence around their “zero-point baseline”. Tests indicated that even in the depths of the vacuum chilled to absolute zero (minus 273.15 degrees Celsius), the zero point of existence, this energy will not go away, and it remains as an unexplained background radiation source. The big conundrum is: No human scientist yet knows where this energy is coming from. Furthermore, with millions, if not billions, of fluctuations occurring in any given second, it is possible in theory, to pull that energy and transpose it into human civilization, much like what Nikola Tesla’s experiments included.

The pulsating energy we are aware of throughout the universe can be put into more simplistic and easier to understand terms. I believe this energy is actually composed of pure, tangible love. Yes, love as a material or physical form is what I believe exists beyond our present state. This material love is what pulls planets, stars, galaxies, nebulae, and other cosmic entities together, and destruction or death is actually the renewal of love re-purposing its own energies to create more love or life that spreads throughout the universe. What many of us carbon-based life units often forget is the larger or bigger picture, because so many of us are grounded in earthly matters that only correspond to the betterment or furtherance of our own species. Little do we know the inner and outer workings of what’s really going on behind the scenes, and many of us choose not to think of them because of the fear and anxiety they may bring. Though many humans believe there is nothing we can do to prepare ourselves for prior or future lives or existences, I am here to report that there is absolutely nothing to fear regarding the prior or next phases of the non-linear cycle of love. We have and always have been connected to everything that has ever existed or will exist in the universe beyond our limited human perspectives. The weirdness that we create is really only in ourselves.
